Background & Training
Katie Hoban is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT® 500, RCYT) with Yoga Alliance, holding specialized certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yoga Therapy for Anxiety, Restorative Yoga, and Children’s Yoga (95-hour). She is also a Reiki Master, wellness coach, motivational speaker and creative collaborator in the wellness space.
With over two decades as an educator and a leader in education, Katie brings a unique depth and compassion to her teaching. Her work integrates her background in mental health with her passion for yoga, guided meditation, Reiki, and mindfulness. She currently teaches with the Peace Focus Collective Organization and has extensive experience working in the mental health field, supporting both children and adults in cultivating resilience, presence, and calm.
The Hoban Wellness Story
Katie is the founder of Hoban Wellness, through which she offers private Reiki sessions, private and group yoga classes, guided meditation and mindfulness sessions, online programs, and signature workshops for studios, community events, and educational settings.
In addition to leading her own offerings, Katie mentors yoga teachers, guiding them in how to design and facilitate meaningful workshops that inspire and transform their students. She is also available to bring wellness programs to other school districts, schools, and educational communities throughout the tri-state area, helping to integrate mindfulness, yoga, and holistic well-being into their environments.
Beyond her teaching, Katie earned her advanced degree in Elementary Education from Gwynedd Mercy University and her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University.
She also holds professional training in photography from the New York Institute of Photography. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to teaching, creativity, and the art of helping others find healing and wholeness.
